6.57 Beta Release - unable to save watch face settings

Unable to save watch face settings anymore when use Garmin Connect under IOS to change watch face settings.
They fix one thing and break many other things on every release. This company is getting worse and worse. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1461629.png ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1461630.png

This is a beta release! If you have a problem then you need to contact the beta team as detailed in the release notes. That way it can be fixed before the public release. There is no point moaning about problems in a beta release. If you are not happy with this beta release, then you should revert back to the latest public release.

For those of us using power meters (myself I use a Stryd), this is simply not an option. We cannot use the public release with our watches since it renders our power meters useless due to a bug with severe power spikes. It has now been over 3 months since Garmin released their buggy 6.0 release on December 1, 2018, and I believe they COULD and SHOULD have released a public fix just for the power meter issue since then. But they have not. Instead they keep pushing these betas that seems to break more things than they fix.

I have been a Garmin user for several years, but now also own an Apple Watch 4 with 4G that excels at everything except heart rate monitoring. For me the HRM-Run is just miles better than the H10 and Wahoo TickrX which I also own. Once there is a HR band as reliable as the HRM-Run I will sell my Garmin and stop visiting these forums for good.
  • I needed the fix for power meters, so i installed the beta but stayed with 6.51 which works o.k. for me. I stay away from ANY future update until i see postive feedbacks or it has significant / important new functions
  • What you're seeing is a problem with GCM/iOS, not the FW or the watch. One thing that seems to be working is to change your region in iOS. I think if you have english-uk and switch to english-us for example.

If it's not the firmware why it was working ok on the previous release?
  • Not sure but if that's the case, you may want to post that on the thread I linked to as they are trying to find a fix for this. Have you tried changing to something like english-us on your phone with the current FW? Seems Dutch and French also work for some.

Change language didn't work but change both region and language to US worked. My current region and language are set to NZ which has no problem with previous firmware.
  • That sounds the same as others with iOS, and all different devices, with all different FW.
  • This issue has been fixed on 6.58 Beta.
