    Dear Garmin.

We're not your beta testers but paying customers. Fourth beta and still no solid final FW.
  • Sorry, I don't get it. Nobody needs to test any beta. What do you expect? No no beta until a final version is available? I really appreciate that Garmin shares their beta here. New features for the adventurous and broader tested releases for the whiners.
  • I think the issue is no RELEASE versions for a long time. 6.0 was released with a major bug - which was then corrected in beta 6.51. 6.51 stayed beta for 2 months. Now there are new beta's coming out - but no release versions.

Some people do not like beta versions and others CANT use beta's because the have APAC versions that are NOT supported by the beta team.

So personally I'm stuck on v5.1 release as v6.0 release breaks power meters on my APAC watch. I have been stuck for a long long time.

So I would welcome a RELEASE version of 6.51 just to get to v6 + power meter correction.

So to be honest - Garmin is very low on my Santa list and I bought a new Apple Watch 4 to see if I can migrate. Garmin is taking the micky on APAC owners (Asia pacific incl. New Zealand and Australia)

    You got the point kaz.

    What you are missing is:
Garmin's betas for the F5+ are more stable than their official versions. Garmin seems to introduce new functionality in their official versions and fix the resulting bugs in their betas - quite opposite of how every one else are doing it.

So people have to use the betas to get a stable version. However, not all watch owners can install the betas, since you need a non-APAC model to use betas.

So I fully understand why some users feel deceived.
  • I'm pretty happy with 6.0. Please do NOT rush out a new version, but take your time and publish a stable new firmware as usual. I typically don't look at betas.
  • Seems like battery consumption was improved a lot...I have now 0,1% per hour.
  • It depends from actual change of your watch... I have noticed that discharge rate is not linear, for example, from 100 to 90 I have 0,4, from 89 to 78 I have 0,3 , from 77 to 70 I have 0,5.... It depends... You have to check in every % phases...
  • 6.57 = battery drain disaster
    consumption has doubled since update..

    Same here on 5 Plus
