Hello Fenix 5X Plus users,

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

6.56 Change Log Notes:
  • Fixed several minor issues with music.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

    Hello,
    When can we expect a production firmware? Not all of us are willing to be beta testers. It's been more than 2 months. Can someone from Garmin team comment why is this wait? Is the next firmware going to be rock solid so the wait is really worth it?

    The change log seems not to mention all changes/fixes, like the public fw change log 6.55 (assistance/safety not mentioned at all, although it is available in the public fw). Why???

    One thing not mentioned in 6.56: more setting for assistance (you can enable/disable it for each app now).

    THIRD beta release and still no final FW with working power meter. Gonna sell my unit soon. Come on Garmin!

    Anyone else have an issue with their Compass? After the update, I had a Gimbal Lock. Couldn’t calibrate it, so downgraded to 6.00 and back to 6.55. Calibrated the Compass and all is now fine.

    No issues on my unit, upgraded to the beta and the compass calibrates and works fine

    No issues here either. Checked compass after, then calibrated and checked again. Responding as expected.

    N.B. I've turned on the alert feature for 1km (Running) and 5km (MTB). Will check tomorrow and see if either cause the watch to reboot
