HRM Run 3 Issues

Hi,

I used over the last 3 years a HRM 3 Premium strap which served me well, but lately I got me to switch to OHR(?!) for my workouts because in the first 6-7 minutes I get abnormal high values of the HR readings. I've seen other comments (and Garmin's instructions) regarding the need for moisture, but that wasn't needed a year ago ... now, all my workouts with this strap have this bump in the HR readings in the beginning - and that's messing up the other values calculated based on HR.

What would you suggest? Should I change the strap (https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/pn/010-11254-02) or the complete set with HRM Run 4 / HRM Dual or the vendor (Wahoo, Polar)?
Or do the proper moisture ... which is not very comfortable.

Thanks. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1458519.png

The electrodes on the strap degrade with time and use. And during winter problems may become more pronounced, as the weather is cold and dry, usually.

Usually putting just a little luke warm water on the electrodes (no need to wet the entire strap) does the trick. You might also try some electrode gel, which is even more efficient than water.
Also, you might want to try cleaning the electrodes thoroughly. Some users do neglect this important chore.
