Metal band for black f5+

hi all, does anyone know if either the Garmin slate grey metal band or the carbon grey titanium metal band would match the Fenix 5+ black sapphire (the one with the red accents)? I’ve spent about ten minutes googling and couldn’t find an answer.
  • I have a Fenix 5 and Fenix 5+ and if a band fits one it will absolutely fit the other (shape and dimensions where the bands attach are identical). The only thing I will offer is that I did try a couple of third party “rapid fit” (Chinese manufacture origin most likely) metal bands; whilst they functioned as bands just fine, they completely messed up the compass on the watch. Since then I’ve stuck to Garmin original bands, despite the expense, as they are the only ones that are assured not to screw the compass up.

Thanks Crispin but I was thinking from a colour/shade perspective. I’m imagining the colour will be different but is it close enough to look okay?
  • Clearly neither will be a perfect match, as both the Fenix 5 Sapphire and 5+ Sapphire have black case and bezel, so whichever band is darkest will match. I don’t have either of the of the bands you mention in the first post, but having seen the slate grey Fenix 5 next to my black sapphire Fenix 5, they’re not terribly different.
  • I think it would look fine with the titanium. If you look at the Sapphire, Carbon Gray DLC Titanium with DLC Titanium Band - you can see that even that watch, while it does have the slate grey bezel, actually has black lugs, and the titanium band color difference is enough that it doesn't look like you're trying to make it identical, and just missed the mark, but that it's intentionally a bit different color, and would probably look nice. Speculation a bit on my part, but it's what I got. I like my orange band. :)
