This is a known problem for the 5x+,TC, etc as I have Reference #’s from Garmin stating that these are known issues.
On the MK1 Descent, then you choose a POI around you and then go to “Review” it will give you the Company Name, same with the address and phone number. I really like that but was largely disappointed with my 5x+ which doesn’t have that detail (in fact the MK1 actually has more local businesses around me than what the 5x+ says I have). I know most of these maps are based off of OSM maps and I’ve tried http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ and downloading maps but I just get a bunch of ?’s below the locations name.
Does anyone know where where I could get maps that also have the details of the location (stores, restaurants, etc) that show up properly until Garmin can figure out the problem and fix it with a future map update? I live in the USA, any help is greatly appreciated.
