For those that are wondering (based on VA3 info):
    Safety and Tracking Features

CAUTION! Incident detection and assistance are supplemental features and should not be relied on as a primary method to obtain emergency assistance. The device and app do not contact emergency services on your behalf.

The vívoactive[SUP]®[/SUP] device has emergency and tracking features that must be set up with the Garmin ConnectTm app.
NOTICE! To use these features, you must be connected to the Verizon[SUP]®[/SUP] network or be connected to the Garmin Connect app using Bluetooth[SUP]®[/SUP] technology.
    Incident detection:
When the vívoactive device detects an incident during an outdoor walk, run, or bike activity, the device sends a message, LiveTrack link, and GPS location to your emergency contacts.

    Assistance:
Allows you to send an automated text message with your name, LiveTrack link, and GPS location to your emergency contacts.

What the he.. shal this be good for, managers and developers at GARMIN ?!?!?!?
My Fenix is not even able to reliably connect to my iPhone!!!!
Fix that before you sell us pseudo „life saving feature“ bullsh.. that depends on a reliable bluetooth connection to the phone!
Damn, Garmin is celebrating desturbed self perception in it´s purest form! - seems that's the only thing they are experts in
  • The beta also contains update for sensors and GPS. Remember to do a 15 minute gps soaking...

    New widget: Device usage
  • The device usage was present in 6.51 beta, it just wasn’t announced in the notes.

Woops, sorry, din't jump to 6.51 because i had really better performance in GPS with 6.0 (let's see 6.55...).

I guess these new things would be announced in 7.0.
  • Also, I think I'm seeing a change in the battery meter performance. When I charged my watch after the update, it went all the way to 100% instead of hitting 92% and then jumping straight to 100%. And after charging, it went to 99% within the first couple of hours instead of staying at 100% for 8 or 10 hours before showing any drain. Of course this is just one data point and may be a fluke.

Perhaps there's a little more in this update than they listed.

To me, battery meter remained same as before...
  • renton82 a bit early to be sure but I think battery meter behaviour has improved for me - took off charge last night at about 9:30 pm 11 hours up time since then and down to 97% so .27% per hour without any activities logged

I'm talking about battery drop after reboot, charged this morning until 100%, disconnected , rebooted and it jumped down to 94%...

What happens if you reboot the device again? Does it power up to 94% or does it further drop again?
  • renton82 - I'm talking about both - I haven't experienced the drop after reboot so far - just a normal slow change - but also that drain seems to be lower too. With the previous version I had to charge for about an extra hour after the initial 100% showed - until I could reboot without getting an immediate drop. In addition the battery meter would show 100% for about 8 hours or more after charging (again unless rebooted).
