If running and there is traffic or other reasons to not miss out on sounds around you, like talking to one you run with... I'd recommend these ones: [h=3]AfterShokz Trekz Air headphones[/h]

    +1

  • What are the AfterShokz's like when it's windy? Can you still hear anything?

Can't recall NOT being able to hear my music even in loud conditions. The aftershock transfers most of the sounds through the vibrations against your bones close to the ear. That is the sweet thing about them, your ears are free to listen to your surroundings...like bikers and drivers who might be nice to be aware of... or just the sounds of nature around you :)
  • I was using the JBL mini BT until I bought the Samsung IconX 2018. IconX 2018 has 4 giga of music storage thus eliminating the need to connect them to the watch, which work flawlessly by the way.
  • I have very good experience with Jabra Elite Sport. The watch on left wrist and stable BT connection during running outside (and everywhere else). They have also very good sound, long battery life and are water proof. You can also exploit their HR sensor while weight lifting, when the measurement from the Garmin watch is quite incorrect. Before I had Jabra Elite Active 65t and they had permanent dropouts outside (not suitable for running at all), so I've exchanged them for Elite Sport and since then I am happy.

Not to steal the thread but I also have the Jabra Elite Sports and a Fenix 5x Plus. I am unable to get them to pair, as it pairs as a HR monitor. Have you experienced this problem or any advice you can offer to get this to work?
  • Golddave - I have the Jabra Elite Sport - It works fine for with the Fenix 5x Plus. Press and hold top right button of Jabras for approx. 10-15secs to toggle BLE Smart off. Then there should only be one Bluetooth device visible to pair with your Fenix and that is for music only. After pairing, you can press and hold the upper right button to toggle BLE Smart on. Then pair the Jabre Smart as a hrm, if desired. I can use the Jabras for music only or Music with BLE hrm or BLE hrm only. The built-in optical hrm of the Fenix for work-outs is definitely more accurate than the Jabras hrm. I wear the Fenix on my right wrist when I'm outside Bluetooth streaming for best connection. Sometimes left wrist can skip especially outside.

    Hope that helps.
  • Ive been using skullcandy method wireless. Good battery life for ultras, simple to charge on the go as well
