Navigation questions

Is it possible to do turn by turn navigation without starting an activity? Also, what routing profile does the 'Navigation' activity use? Unlike other profiles, such as 'run', there does not appear to be any settings.

I think there is. On my F5+ I have an app "Navigate" try that one.

otherwise, is it possible to see the track on the map during navigation without any turn by turn indication (no vibrations and alerts, as well)?
