Indoor sports and profiles.

I do indoor sports with some friends couple times a week. We often change what indoor sport we play each week. Options usually are floorball, basketball, badmington and indoor soccer. I just got my first ever garmin product (Fenix 5 plus) and I am not sure what each of the default profiles actually measure, so I don't know what default profile would be best for me to copy for each of the sports and what things are measured with each of the profiles. Should I copy just default "cardio" profile for each of them or would something like "indoor track" work better if it measures distance too?

During summer we also play soccer outdoors, so should I just copy "run" profile when doing that or would gps not work so well when you are running back and forth chasing a ball?
Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I am just using a device like this for the first time.
  • I wish somebody would answer this!

  • I think that, for indoor sports, the watch will just consider your heartrate, steps, weight, sex, activity class, height... and the time you exercised. I would copy from "cardio". I would use the same for outdoor soccer, as I GPS/GLONASS/Galileo are not very precise compared to the area of a soccer field. I am a sports sciences graduate, but not a Garmin expert.
