More than one music player?

Given the Spotify app keeps crashing on me and making listening to long podcasts across multiple runs pretty much impossible, i planned to try out Runcasts. But once i've downloaded it, it seems to have completely replaced Spotify - can i not have both and switch between the two? Or is it one music player to the exclusion of any other?
