Sleep tracking accuracy

Hi!

After the first synchronization after sleep and after the second, the data is strongly distorted, what can be done about it?

The first sync shows the correct data. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1447225.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1447226.jpg

    Same problem here.
I go to bed every night at 22.30 and get up 6.30. Yet watch shows sleep periods from 10 to sometimes 15 hours.

I have posted complaints about accuracy for sleep as well. Support was not helpful in resolving the situation. The problem in my case is it records sleep when I am awake for hours working night shift moving around because it’s within bounds of the registered sleep pattern. I slept 16 hours yesterday but 8 of those where movement.
  • Same here. Adjusting the data has became a part of my morning routine (really).

Strange thing is, the algorithms worked almost perfect for a long time a couple of months ago.
  • Agreed with the previous firmware. That was MUCH better. There is another thread on the 5+ forum which is saying exactly the same thing.
  • I stopped tracking sleep after getting my 5x plus. Just not accurate or useful for me. I find the sleep tracking on my 4 year old Fitbit Surge very accurate and useful. When your up and moving around, unlike the Fenix, the Surge actually records that as awake. Take a nap mid day, the Surge records that. Pretty sad when a company like Fitbit gets it right 4 years ago and a company like Garmin is stuck sending watches out with at least 5-6 year old tech and abilities.

I think Garmin, these days, is more about checking the feature boxes rather then the functionality or application of these features.

I am in the same boat boat. I went from a charge two to Fenix 5x plus and the sleep tracking on garmin is poor at best. The Fitbit had issues but at least it tracked sleep, which was the main reason I purchased it.

I work crazy days and hours. Sleep day and night as well as awake for 24 hours at a time. Sleep tracking is a major tool I use to gauge my compentancy. If your not getting enough sleep might as well be impaired.

i always say I would be an ideal candidate for testing as I do it all. Work round the clock, sleep weird hours, exercise hard, do pretty much everything there is to do outdoors and Olympic loft. Still curious what blood pressure does when you lift. There must be a massive spike when you engage every muscle in sequence to lift..
  • Every day the same thing, you have to make changes manually
This is what happened before the correction:
  • And this is after the correction, and so every day.

At one time I wore a Honor Bend so this primitive device considered sleep much more correct ...ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1448705.jpg
  • Very odd how my deep sleep resembles everyone else's. Two periods in the beginning every night then nothing.
