After powering up my iPhone XS, the Fenix 5+ does not automatically connect so that i am missing calls and notifications from my muted phone :( !!
Even hours later no connection is automatically established.
Damn software mess....

The only way i get it work is to manually set the watch to connect to the phone.

Same think is happening to Vivoactive 3 after the latest Android pie update...
  • I have the same on android 9. What is funny on my Old smartphone with android 7 i is all fine. Connection is established automaticaly when im i bt range. With android 9, its not. I was hoping bt 5.0 will blow this watch in space, but in fact it is worse ten with 4.2

Another way to get it work is to disable and enable bluetooth on the phone.
The question is if this can be fixed by an update of the Gamin app or if it is watch-firmware related.
In any case - bad user experience again and again and again....
  • I know you specifically said iOS 12.1.3, but you're definitely not on the beta program are you? The latest 12.2 beta has broken syncing with GC, as often seems to happen with iOS betas and GC.
