Bluetooth headphones problem

Hi, I'm using my fenix 5x plus with mp3 music and Bluetooth headphones. The thing is that sometimes there are small interruptions of the music I guess due to a bad connection. It's quite annoying. I've tried with two brands of headphones (not high quality headphones, I must say) and the problem is the same. Has anybody the same problem? I'd like to discard a Fenix problem before buying a better quality headphones.

This is also an issue for me...Here are some important data points:

1) I have 3 pairs of headphones I've used with this watch

2) I also use the same 3 pairs of headphones with my phone without issues…

It is not the distance - it is the water filled balloon (aka head) between the earphone and the watch when it is on your left wrist.

If you're up to it, put the beta release on your watch. I put the beta 6.58 on mine and it completely fixed the bluetooth issues. I can wear my watch on the left hand and it does not cut out etc,

Why Garmin doesn't rush out a stable version of the software to fix this issue seems crazy to me, watch is north of $800 and this issue is huge to some of us.

Update: I just plugged my watch into computer to charge, the garmin connect program alerted me to some sort of update, I synced the watch (with garmin connect) and let it charge for a while, unplugged the watch to wear it, and was asked to accept an update for ANT+ and Bluetooth driver which I accepted.

So maybe that bluetooth driver update will fix the issues without putting the beta on your watch, I dunno

Definitely upgrade to the beta 6.71 if you want to have a stable BT connection to your earbuds! I use Jabra Elite Sport and have no issues while running (fenix 5x Plus on my left wrist) with beta firmware 6.71 (while there were many dropouts with system software release 6.00).

I currently have jaybird x3 headphones and im on my third watch (replaced as the first two Fenix 5s plus were defective). Now, my music is dropping out again and I am using quality headphones and the receiver is on the left side- with the watch on my left wrist too. I'm really disappointed in this premium watch, it's like they used cheap parts. You're not alone in your frustrations.

Hello, I have huge issues with dropouts on Fenix 5 plus and Jabra Elite Sport. I went over troubleshooting with Garmin which pointed me on Jabra support. Did the same with Jabra without success and ended up with brand new pair of Jabra earbuds. However, situation with dropouts is the same, maybe even worse. My garmin is running software version 8.40 - how can I downgrade to some music-stable version or is there some newer beta in which dropouts are fixed? How to enable betas in garmin express? Thank you!

I use Bose SoundSport Free. I get the very rare drop for just a second, and to be honest, my iPhone drops more in my Jeep than my Bose with the Fenix. I did have a weird button issue with Spotify, but a user pointed me to a workaround. So the Bose is a go for me.

I do not have drop out issues but rather my headphones will keep disconnecting during an activity. Im using Plantronics Backbeat Fit. Anyone else have this issue?
