Bluetooth Version 0.00

Hello everyone,

got a huge Problem with my brandnew Fenix 5 plus. Can't get it paired with mit phone, Pairing initialization stuck.
What i tried: Updatet to Firmware Version 6.51. No luck ...

Before I send it back i would like to try downgrading. Where can I get the latest 5.XX Files?

8. If you would like to revert to the last public release software, drop the gupdate.gcd file found in the System_Backdate_v420 folder in the \GARMIN directory

Try to upgrade again to 6.51 beta. Download the file and follow the instructions:

Place the gupdate.gcd file, found in the System_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN folder of the device
Place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the 5*_Sensor Hub_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device
Place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the GPS_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device
If you have a WiFi-enabled device, place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the WiFi_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device
Place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the ANT_BLE_BT_V*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device
Disconnect from your computer and proceed through the update.
If you would like to revert to the last public release software, drop the gupdate.gcd file found in the System_Backdate_v420 folder in the \GARMIN directory
NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.

If you still have the issue after reboot and upgrade, try only this:

Place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the 5*_Sensor Hub_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device

It should upgrade the sensor only and instead of showing BLE/ANT/SNS version 0.00 you should have 6.25

sounds to me like the bluetooth chip might be failed or locked in a weird state. Can you still connect to Wi-Fi and sensors? I believe the bluetooth and Wi-fi are on the same chip, so if the chip is actually failed I would expect to see some other problems as well. Honestly at this point I would call Garmin support

Wi-Fi is working, can sync by WiFi ...

Called Garmin Germany just a minute ago, fenix has to be replaced, have to send it back and get a new one ...
