Has anyone tried to put purchased maps on their Fenix 5 Plus yet? I don't see why physically the watch wouldn't be able to support these maps, but I don't see it on the supported devices list. I'm specifically interested in the Huntview maps as it seems like this would be a very beneficial application with having to carry less equipment.
hmmm... could be. They come on a 32GB card and the Fenix 5 Plus only has 12GB of memory. I find it hard to believe that the maps are more than 12GB though. Does anyone have the maps and know how big they are?
I have put purchased maps on the Fenix 5 plus. It's not straight forward, but you can see which maps are available by going to the product page and filtering by region/map type. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/603229/pn/010-01989-04#maps I don't see any Hunting maps available though. You'll also need Garmin Express on your PC to do the transfer. It's all rather easy once you work out how to do it, but Garmin's instructions are pretty lacking.
