Fenix 5X Plus - no text messages

I am getting email notifications, but no text message notifications. I can’t seem to find any settings to change anywhere. They were coming over fine on the Fenix 5X I had prior to the 5X Plus. Any ideas?

hi,

hmmm... I might have had this issue some time ago.
at that time did not make a real test, just a quick observation when an SMS came.
I'm sure was not in the notification list either.
checked a lot of settings, did not find something specific.

somehow, after IOS12.1.2, works.

still the icon in the list is the same for email ( the third in the list) and text messages (SMS, the first)

in the linked post, something similar is about.

I also saw wheater is gone sometimes.
If Connect is in the background (not fully stopped), wheater works.

now SMS notifications work with and without Connect in background.
maybe before IOS12.1.2 did not, I'm not sure.

even you have Android, try SMS with and without Connect in the phone background.
maybe this is the answer.

Any update ? I have a new 5s plus and text me rate not getting to the watch
