Autolaps not in distance but in time or in elevation gain

The way the autolap works does not allow you to use a lap defined by a time or an elevation gain (ascent).

It would be great to have autolaps every xx minutes or xx m (or ft) of ascent.

Or maybe I don't know how to do that on my fenix 5 plus.

There are lots of people missing it, otherwise fbbbrown had not developed his datafield called “lap by position”.

But Garmin seems to deliberately not implement it for Fenix family. And as I read, Garmin eliminated it even some of the newer triathlon watches.

Funny, because even smaller brandnames like Bryton use Auto lap by position in their GPS-enabled products, including the cheaper ones.

Altitude delta configuration for phase switch

This option allows you to configure after which altitude delta the SkiTour App switches between UP and RUN phase. Please note that a too low value might result in wrong phase switches. As recommendation we propose following settings:

5 to 10 meters on watches with barometric altimeter (e.g. Fenix 3, 5 or 6 series)
20 meters on watches without barometric altimeter (e.g. FR230)

The smallest allowed value is 5!
This configuration feature is available in the FREE version as well!

and because it's an app, it will also write it into the FIT file directly
