Wrist and sleep detection without HR enabled

I would like to propose a new feature for the clock, the ability to do wrist and sleep detection without reporting HR.

Having constant HR measurements is problematic for allot of people with a previous condition, it easily becomes the only thing you check all day long, but it would be very beneficial to still get the wrist and sleep detection, but without the HR reported.
  • Not sure if I fully understand what you're looking for.

Is the problem that you get "addicted" to constantly check your HR during the day?
If so, is it the live displaying of HR on the watch that is problematic, or recording of HR alltogether?

If it's only displaying, you could remove it from you watch face and I think also you can disable/hide the HR widget without disabling the HR sensor. This way you will probably get HR measurement as input to activity tracking (I guess this is what you mean by wrist detection?) and sleep monitoring, without having to see it.
  • Older devices like my Vivoactive 1 don't have wrist-based HR built-in and measure sleep only based on movement. It seems to me you should get sleep results similar to what the older devices report if you turn off HR (assuming you can).
