Backlight always on before start?

Hi
When I select an activity but do not start it yet, my backlight turns on and stays on all the time. I think this consumes a lot of battery. Is this behavior intended on the F5plus?

As soon as I press start, the backlight goes off after the time specified in the settings „during activity“.

Yes, it presumes that you are going to want to see the display irrespective between selecting an activity and pressing start, for instance, you are in a car park at night, waiting for a ride to start and you are checking sensors etc have connected.

It is unlikely to have a significant impact on battery compared to the actual recording of the activity.
