Rowing Training Load \ Status

Hello,

I'm importing a rowing workout from RowPro, though the Concept2 logbook into garmin connect -

The file imports the heart and power data as can be seen.

Does this get included into the Training Load \ Status data, and further displayed on the Fenix through the TrueUp ??

No. Training load has to be generated by a garmin device. If the concept2 does not generate training load by itself (and I know it doesn't), then garmin connect won't calculate training load for that activity.

is it possible to get all the data form concept2 rower into gc incl. Training load?
I mean, record the training with the watch and get wattage etc. form the rower too?

If power is provided, can GC not calculate Training load in the web portal with the fit file ??

Secondly I thought the performance condition used heart rate, same can be done as about with the fit file ??

So assume and indoor ride with zwift is going to have zero training load if not recorded with the Fenix.

Technically it could, but it doesn't. Garmin Connect does not calculate training load. A compatible garmin device does.

Performance condition is calculated by a garmin device, not garmin connect. Again, technically garmin connect could do that, but this is not how it works.

as i understand, i should use the ios app with the rower and record parallel the activity with the Garmin to get training load. VO2 max wont work.
The concept2 logbook will sync with gc - i will get double data entries (useless from Garmin, full data (without training load..) from concept2 (wattage, distance..)

Hey Scott, two things:

Highly recommend ergIQ, the developer has been fantastic about maintaining a very effective CIQ app that will connect to a PM5 on any C2 device and create an Indoor Rowing activity that will have the TE/TL/etc. you expect from a watch-native activity.
A little while ago I tried to get Garmin, lcj2, Firstbeat, and Concept2 to all agree on some way of making C2's power field a first-class field so it'd be possible for F5/F6 devices to generate a Rowing VO2 max. Maybe now that we're all stuck inside and C2's having record sales they'd be more interested in lobbying Garmin's product managers for this?

Check it out now!! I would say that it is included now
