Mate 20 Pro caller ID and caller number problem

Latest version software on both. Phone stays connected and I am getting all other smart notifications without problems. Has anyone come across this before? All I am getting is "incoming call" on my watch...
All permissions are set on. Phone permission is acting weird sometimes, it shows off but in android settings is turned on. Please speak up if you have a solution.

    Just installed an older version of Garmin Connect from apkmirror (4.12.3) and call ID seems to be working. I can also dismiss a call with an SMS which is also not working in the new version. One thing that I noticed with the older version is that there is an extra option in App Permissions (Call Lists) which is not available in the new version see attached screen dump.

    I can confirm, that version 4.12.3 Garmin Connect works on the Mate 20 Pro. Caller ID shows up on my Fenix 5 Plus now

    I confirm that it works in mine too. Thing is that before I post I have tried a few older versions from apkmirror but not this one hahaha. I was 1 click away. Nice find mate let's hope that they fix it quickly in new versions.

    So did I, Ouuzi, but NOT that version. I just returned the watch and purchased an Amazfit Stratos. It works quite well, but the garmin looked better in my opinion....

    I had the stratos, very nice one. I liked that watch, good value for money.

    This worked for me also. I was experiencing a lack of caller ID on my Fenix 3 watch paired with the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, despite having all of the correct app permissions enabled in settings. Installing this older version of the GC app has resolved the problem, but a proper fix would be appreciated from Garmin!

    Ive actually held off getting the phone until this is resolved.... Crazy to think its not 100% functional :(

    It is fully functional with the above mentioned version of Garmin connect. Don't worry just get the phone.
