Help please, lost run - Navigate > Saved Locations

Hi - I was lost in a different neighborhood last night, so I thought if I pushed the above buttons on my watch, chose my house saved location, clicked start, waited for the green arrow, and then started running, everything would work great, and when I synced after I got home it would show the run on Garmin Express just like any other run I've done.

What happened was when I got home and clicked the start/stop button and then "Save", I noticed the watch said "--speed/--distance". In other words it didn't recognize that I had run. It did show an elapsed time though.

Can someone tell me what else I should have done please?

You used the Navigate activity app and not the Run activity app, right?

If you had used the Run activity app, you could have started navigation from within this app. That would have given you a logged run.

When you have not yet pressed Start, Navigation is available in the menu which appears when you press the Up button once.

After you have pressed Start, you can long press the Up button to get into the menu.

Thanks for the instruction/hint. Yes, I used the Navigate app instead of the Run app, I guess I was doing it like I do on my Android phone ("OK Google, Navigate to …").

Yes, I am the same Allan Olesen.

One of the problems with using one's real name as a username in forums is that it is quite often already taken by others, or spaces are not allowed in the username, etc. So I end up with small variations of my name in every forum.
