I have been thinking about selling my Fenix 5 and getting a 5 plus, mostly for the onboard music capability. But, it seems the 5 plus has battery life issues and, worse, the price... I was at REI over the weekend and saw that they Fenix 5 is on special for $125 off it's normal price of $550, while the 5 plus was priced at a whopping $800!!! I really want the onboard music but even if I could get $350 for my F5, an extra $450ish is too much to pay for onboard music. :eek::mad::(
FWIW... The Fenix 5+ is on special today for $150 off its normal price. This is advertised on Garmin, REI, Clever Training, and Amazon.
I admit at $550 its pretty tempting... I have had the F5 since its release, which I think was less than a year ago... And of course, CES is not too far away, any idea what Garmin is releasing after CES?
