  • I have seen the same spikes during running with my Stryd power meter when connecting it as a native ANT+ power meter. In my case they are actually 6 figures.

Same problem. Yesterday with power2max 37.7kw spike and with elite drivo lot of 20kw spikes

Same for me. Was also an issue for me in previous beta version.
  • I have again a high battery-drain from about 0.9% per hour. My watch lost 8% battery in the last 12 hours. I have flash all parts for my 5X+ of the 5.57 firmware. Anyone else the same problem?

Did you try out to turn the phone connection off?
    will it then be better?

Found out, that the phone connection with my Android is draining a lot of battery.
The Garmin Connect app was permanently synchronizing the phone what ended up with that battery drain...
Had to turn it of and now it's the battery drain is gone...

Happened with an android 8.1 Phone and now also with my new Huawai Mate 20pro with Andriod 9
Never had and have this issue with a iPhone so fair...

Not sure if that is the solution, but thurn the phone connection of and try if it's then better...
Guess that's an Android problem / Bug in Garmin Connect or Android OS it self but don't know... (new to android)
  • My Fenix 5X plus watch does not connect to AirPods headphones. Firmware version 5.57. iphone connects to the whatch without problems
  • rep counter is totally useless. always wrong. on 5x is almost perfect

    hi all,
I’ve just reported the lack of radar (Varia 510) icon on activity screen, fenix 5X plus.
tha cars are reported, taillight is connected.
the lack of radar icon is spooky, as you do not know if it is connected or not.
this icon iwas present in 5.10, was steady when Varia is connected and flashing when disconnected.
now, when disconnected, only a brief message "taillight disconnected " appears.
    thank you,
    robert
  • Since installing this Beta my Fenix5xplus is recording extreme spikes of my bike powermeter up to 50KW this screws up the FTP detection and even the power everages are complete nonsense. It is something within the firmware, thus it did not happen with 5.1 and my edge 520 which runs in parallel, does not show the spikes.

the second picture show the corrected values after running fit file repair and removing the spikes

Same here, pretty useless poweruitput in the file. Altought the 10s and 3s live view was looking good.
Got on the end a NP output of 1515 W and Max Power of 57566 in the FIle and Summ up... Which would give a IF ot 7.690 and TSS of 3818.9... That's not even possible at all...
However, i recorded it also with sufferfest and there did the file look fine, so that is a Firmware Issue and not an Issue of my Powermeter...

Had the same Problem also yesterday and thought first it is a issue of my power meter, but as i double checked with the ride today it can't be te power meter...
  • Here's a Printscreen of the Garmin Connect View of my Powermeter output.....

    Pretty wired Power Spikes...
  • also have the issue on Garmin's Fenix 5x Plus with the Firmware 5.57, that the GPS is sometimes get missing during a run - out of no resent.
It has not even to be in a deep forest or in the city with high houses.
Sometimes i start to run with good GPS and then when i upload the file - the GPS Route is not there... Looks like it got loost somewhere, even if the Speed and the other Metrics are showing right on the watch it self...

Found out (on older firmwares) that it happens when i go to the map during a run and then back, but now does it seem randomized loosing the track, even if i don't switch the display at all...

Examples are the 2 Short runs we did 2day:

on this run was it on 23.xx until 34.xx with no GPS Signals:
    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/3166976969

On the other run was no real GPS Signal at all on the FIT File, even if the Fenix was showing GPS Signal as OK and green before i started the run...

Anyone else having this issues lately with this firmware?
