Fenix 5/5s Plus - 5.57 Beta Release

Hello Fenix 5/5s Plus users,

We have new beta software ready for your upcoming adventures!

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

5.57 Change Log Notes:
  • Added support for Garmin Explore mobile app.
  • Made improvements to ClimbPro to handle NAV route recalculations.
  • Made several improvements and bug fixes for Music. (Requires 3.11 ANT/BLE/BT)

    The syncing in Garmin Explore fails at the stage of Waypoint sync. Can you guys confirm this ?

    edit: when the Saved Locations list on my F5+ is empty, then the syncing with Garmin Explore stacks on Waypoint sync stage. Then I saved a location on the watch and tried again. The syncing was ok but two copies of the saved location transferred into Garmin Explore Waypoints list. Then I deleted these waypoints in Garmin Explore and made a sync to check if the Saved Locations list on the watch get empty again. After the sync, the list was full of saved locations with strange names. I turned off the watch and turned it on again and the list was empty again.

    Watch version 5.10

    The app works fine here.
    Just created a test course and it synced over to my watch.

    The app indicated for me that only 66 and instinct was supported, but I pressed connect anyway and it connected.

    I notice massive battery drain like 2% per hour with this latest beta!

    I'm not seeing any changes in battery consumption. Are you reporting one drop of 2%? Are you seeing ~50% drop in 24 hours? I'm not convinced the battery %age reporting is consistent. I've gone back to just looking at the gauge on the watch face. That seems more representative than the number; strange as that might seem.

    Just performance a factory reset and now I'm at 0.3% /h , who knows what happened....

    Mine seems to have stopped syncing since this morning (even though the beta installed when released). Turning off Bluetooth to force a sync via WiFi results in the watch crashing @ "Searching for network"

    After installation of this beta release sw, BT connection is fooling (with Samsun A3 2017). Still connect/reconnect. I have tried to remove device from GC and add again, but without any changes. I went back to 5,10 sw version, but still the same issue. With original installation of 5.10 I had no issue with. Any idea how to fix that?

    My watch with 5.57b lost GPS signal at 13,58 km in my run today. (GPS loss has never happened before) I ran the road down and turned first left. Distance is correct, I'm running with Stryd footpod...

    Just wanted to say that I don't have any problems at all with 5.57 on my F5P.

    Will there be support for more alternative music services, such as yandex.music, for Russia?
