Garmin Carbon Grey DLC Titanium Band - Issues

Really disappointed with this very expensive purchase. The catch does not sit flush with the strap on the left hand side (when looking at the catch with the words Garmin the correct way) There is a 1/2 cm gap between the catch and the strap. This causes it to catch things. Because of the right hand inside design (there is curved solid piece of metal) there are limits to how many links you can put in to the left hand side before this digs in to the skin. I've tried all possible combinations and concluded that it is a design fault. If you have very large wrists this may not be a problem but for 'normal people' I'd avoid this strap. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1418410.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1418411.jpg
  • I agree it's not ideal, but I use the rubber strap 95% of the time. I only use the Ti band when I'm going out. I have yet to catch the clasp on anything...
  • You've probably noticed this already, but there are a number of small holes where the strap attaches to the clasp on that side. Only one pair of holes is used by the pin that secures the links to the buckle. You can try and move the link to the outermost holes on the strap to see if this reduces the 'gap' somewhat. It'll also increase the size of the band a bit, so you may then have to remove one link to compensate.

  • What he said.

That strap does look rather large for your wrist either way.

This is it. I have managed to get my band the right size while using the outermost holes.
If these holes did not exist it would be impossible to adjust in small steps... and THAT would be a design flaw.
I'd try removing one link and use the outermost holes.
