i got it working again by going into Apple Health and disabling Garmin as a source. It kept crashing after about 10 seconds of opening. Very frustrating.
*LOL* Garmin is not leaving out any opportunity to make beginner mistakes. Simply bad/not testing culture...
You can't test *everything* prior to a release, that would simply be impossible. "Even" Apple releases software with bugs, that is just the nature of software development. There are just to many dependencies.
At least they have acknowledged the bug, and are working towards a fix.
