  • I would recommend reset your counter ... battery life seems to be normal again ...
  • Did anyone else lose the connection between phone and watch after installing 5.53?

I have experienced that twice now during the last 24 hours. When I go into Garmin Connect Mobile, the synchronization icon and the watch icon in the top right corner are both grey and I am told that there is no connection to the watch.

In the past I have had similar problems (don't remember if icons were grey) which I resolved by shutting down the Garmin Connect Mobile app and starting it again. But that is not enough this time. I have had to shut down the watch and restart it.
  • I think there’s an issue with navigation (every app) when you are navigating on a routable map to a destination. I cosed a saved location and pressed "start". The data field for navigation on the map screen is always showing “0” and I have lots of new calculations. Issue started with fw 5.52.

    Anybode else seen this issue?

I see the same. And I see something else too:

The turn notifications often appear after I made the turn, showing 0 meter to the turn. And they do not go away after a few seconds - I have to clear them manually.

The turn arrows on the map sometimes point away from a straight part of the purple route. I suppose that those arrows should have been shown at the next or previous turn, but are misplaced on the map.

The field showing distance remaining to the end target will often freeze for a long time and then take a huge jump downward.

right side of the pic: 5x+ with fw 5.10 (everything ok)

+1: Turn-by-turn navigation is mis-behaving. Distance to next turn point is always 0m and there is lot of recalculation although I'm on the correct path.

  • Same here on my Fenix 5 Plus, also the elevation graphic sometime is wrong like i specified in this thread: https://forums.garmin.com/forum/on-t...totally-random. I have just reported it to beta team. However, it unbelievable that every time they fix a bug they introduce a new one!

Io non riesco da qualche giorno a caricare le mie corse. In realtà non sincronizza più solo le corse mentre le attività di pesi si.

Non so quale possa essere il problema.

    Capita anche ad altre persone?

    Grazie.

Yes, I see the same with my Fenix - always 0m and a lot of recalculations. Especially if I want to follow a track, almost always it changes the direction and it will navigate me back to the starting point instead of following the track. Issue wasn't present in 5.1.
  • Yesterday night extremely fast recharging appeared. From 22% at 8pm to 0% 4am in sleeping mode. Watch powered off.
    firmware 5.53
  • For those of you still experencing power drain issues, you could try downgrading the Sensor Hub software back to 2.20. I didn't upgrade to FW5.52/5.53, but did upgrade the BT/BLE/ANT 3.03 and the Sensor Hub 2.21. I notoced that even with that setup, my power draw doubled, with a significant increase in drainage durning activities as well. Downgraded the Sensor Hub back to 2.20, and things seem to have settled back down again.

How do you downgrade just the hub?
