Stopwatch "Save as an activity?"

When using the stopwatch, after selecting "reset" a prompt pops up with "Save as an activity?". This has been around for some time now, and is rather annoying. I figured that there would have been a "never save stopwatch as an activity" option added by now, but maybe it has just flown under the radar.

If I am going to workout, I will use one of the many apps designed specifically for whatever workout I am going to do. As a performance coach, I use the stopwatch feature constantly and having an extra prompt to dismiss is annoying. End of the world? Absolutely not, but I think it would be nice to have an option to permanently remove the "Save as an activity?" prompt.

If somebody knows of a way to do this already, I would greatly appreciate it!
  • Nope. Agree with you. Garmin we just need the current time in the stopwatch and a way to get it inverted (white on black).
In frustration i use Nonstopwatch 1.01 a widget...
  • I disagree. While haven't used this feature, yet. I do use the stopwatch fro time to time. I can think of scenario's where this feature could be useful and i likw that there is flexibilty in the software design.

  • I think the point is more flexibility is needed. This would do my nut in if I didn't want the function but wanted to use the stopwatch. It's all about the number of clicks.

Perhaps two apps..one for stopwatch one that wraps it as an activity stopwatch.

The UX is fundamentally wrong when a user wants the core functionality but is asked questions which are repeatedly answered the same way.

In the point of view of people who use their stop watch a lot (and I mean a lot for professional reasons).... It is tedious not to have the current time and to be obliged to double click to leave the stopwatch... ;-)
  • I like the idea of being able to set a default to "Never Save Activity" like Terkey mentioned above!!!!
