Plantronics backbeat fit 3100 "true wireless" headphones

Hello everyone,
Just ordered a pair of the recently released plantronics backbeat fit 3100... True wireless headphones with earhooks quite similar to the ones on the "standard" bacbeat fit - which I have been using for a couple of years and really enjoyed the comfort, apart from the neck cord bouncing up and down (I had to use a headband to keep it stuck on the back of my head).
If anyone is interested I'll post some feedback on how it behaves with my 5S plus (especially if I experience signal dropouts...)

Has anyone else already got a pair of those ?
  • So as promised, here's a short feedback on these earbuds. I went for a 6 km run yesterday, listening to music from my spotify account directly from the watch (5S+). I did not have a single dropout, while the backbeat fit original regularly lost the signal (I'm wearing my watch on the left wrist, as I assume 90% people do). The good thing about the BBFIT 3100 is that you can assign which earbud - left or right - acts as the main one, i.e. is connected to the watch or phone. Obviously I set it to be the left one, and the signal was perfectly stable duting all the workout.

Comfort : these are simply the most comfortable earbuds I've ever used. I don't like in-ear foams or small rubbers which totally cuts you out of the ambient noises, and I appreciate to keep a slight sound level of what's happening around me when I'm running outside. If it's not your case then those earbuds are definitely not for you. But otherwise I really recommend them. They're quite expensive but they are really worth the price if you ask me.

I've ran for approximately 40 minutes, and the earphones battery life went down from 100% to approx 90%. That's reasonable and it looks like it's enough for me at least.
Hope this very small review will be useful to you. Here are a couple of pictures in case you're interested.

PS : I'm not working for Plantronics or endorsed in any way. I paid for this product (even though I wish I didn't !)
  • Thanks for this, these look great and no cables!! I am very tempted myself.
  • Just ordered some of these, looking forward to trying them out in the gym and running.
