After update to 5.1. and installing Spotify I found out Altimeter Barometer and Thermometer does not work. It shows only ---. I am able to calibrate altimeter with gps but I can do nothing about Barometer and Thermometer.
  • I have no issues with these, but I am not using spotify

Attaching pictures how it look after I turn it on, even after restart. Seems nothing is changing.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1410823.jpg
  • Enable the "Ambient Pressure" field in a data screen in an activity (NOT the "Barometric Pressure" field). What does it say?
  • Let it run for ahile without restarting (may an hour). Does the graph start getting data?

I have set these 2 options for pressure in activity mode and none of it works.

I kept it running for almost 15 hours and no change at all, it still shows nothing :/
  • I've experienced a few weird issues installing Spotify, but after about three days, all my sensors and Spotify seem to be working. It actually took me three days to actually get the sync to not issue a Sync Failure message(another user mentioned the same). In that time, I saw Spotify say it was syncing 1 small playlist and running the watch dead, the watch completely locking up. At one point while trying to uninstall the app, I could not get it removed via Garmin Connect(Uninstall Fail, in RED, was the message I think), and had to use Garmin Express.

I checked all my sensors, and all seems settled and working at the moment. I'm afraid to touch it now.

Oh I see... I just plug watch to charge and immediately Spotify syncing showed up. Will let it finish and will see what happens, totally weird. So Spotify is synced, I did restart again and still no data in the fields I mentioned...
  • So if you completely remove Spotify and restart, does it have any effect? Also, what if you change the default language to English or something else, let it sit, and then back. I saw your pictures, and it was just something that occurred to me to try. Complete shot in the dark. I saw something like that once on an app on a linux server once. And if you log into Spotify in a web browser the watch shows up as a Linux Laptop.

Ok. Ambient Pressure (which appears to be "okolitý tlak" in Slovakian) comes more or less directly from the pressure sensor in the watch. Elevation and Barometric Pressure are calculated values, based on the ambient pressure.

So if Ambient Pressure is missing, there is a high possibility that you have a defective pressure sensor, and not just some software calculation gone wrong.

As far as I know from earlier Fenix models, the temperature sensor and the pressure sensor is the same hardware component in the watch, and when one fails, the other often fails too. I think this is the first time I have read about a Plus model having a defective pressure sensor. (I actually waited for this model before buying because the F5 seemed to have these problems.)
