I’m without my F5+ for a few days so I had to use my smartphone/sportsphone and the Strava App to record my activities. What a disaster!!! I can’t believe that a high end expensive sportsphone can have such terrible GPS accuracy. I’m experiencing what I would like to name a #DrunkRider©
Just look at the terrible tracks the stava/phone produced in the pictures attached. The track shows me riding into buildings, flying off bridges onto a high-speed highway, and almost shooting off into space. The only time the track is good enough is when I'm going 60 km/h passed sissy cars, busses and pedestrians in a straight line without stopping on red lights. I guess this is what I have to continue with to get an acceptable track.
I’m a serious exerciser (the same as a professional athlete IMO), competing against my biggest competitor and nemesis; my Strava Personal Record from 2014 for my morning commute to work. The stakes are high. And I‘ve been in training for many months now to finally show that PR who is boss. All my followers on Strava (3 co-workers at an engineering company I work for) are betting on me to fail. My reputation at work is at stake and I believe I have not gotten that promotion because of my recent years of being in second place.
How can I train and win with this piece of “#%”% GPS accuracy. I cannot live with myself, knowing that this track-recording exist somewhere in the clouds for my 3 followers to see. My Strava PR has a perfect track recording with no “Drunk Rider”-symptoms.
Maybe this is the wrong forum, but this ppor high-end sportsphone company does not at have a forum for users like myself. I want to warn you not to buy this sportsphone. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1410141.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1410142.jpg
