Music skipping anyone?

I have a Stryd connected via Ant+ and Jaybird X4 earbuds. If I get the activity ready and start, it will skip the moment I start running and a pace gets going. I could not get the skipping to stop. I stopped and disconnected then reconnected the X4s. The earbuds said connected and the watch was playing but producing no sound. I powered the 5X+ off and turned it back on. The activity resumed and the earbuds connected just fine with no skipping. This has been happening regularly.

Possibilities:
RAM/CPU bogged down requiring a restart in order to process both the footpod and the audio?

Starting audio after the activity has been selected instead of first causes skipping?

Connecting earbuds while phone (also connected) causes problems?

Anyone experiencing this? Workarounds besides stopping during run and resetting watch?

Yes. My 5x plus skips too. Seems like poor connectivity to me. It stinks. Seems like some songs worse than others. Not sure what that means??

its only worked once but worked flawlessly. - Try this.
1) Turn off bluetooth on phone if it has been paired with your earbuds.
2) DO NOT start the activity or even get it ready.
3) Turn on music. It will prompt to pair.
4) Pair
5) Once music is going, then start activity.

I had no skipping at all.
