5x plus APAC, doesn't see updates

I've recently bought 5x plus in Taiwan, now I have troubles with updating software (Garmin connect and express don't see update to version 5 (tried on 2 PCs and smartphone). Manual installation of 4.74 beta doesn't have an effect as well (in watch info version 4.2 shown). Did anybody have similar issue?
The beta software doesn't work with APAC devices. That's stated in the announcement and production FW for APAC devices lags that for ROW devices - a few weeks to a month or two.
Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

Thanks for the reply, i'll return it next time when i'm on Taiwan. Wanted to solve battery drain issue with the new software (drains in 4 days instead of 20 as promised)

Or you could just wait a few weeks until the APAC versions get the update. I'm also on APAC. 5.1 should drop soon as Spotify was pushing Garmin Taiwan to advertise Spotify availability on the Fenix 5x Plus (according to another thread).
I think 'a few weeks' is rather optimistic - we haven't even gotten the 4.74 update, and I was told by Support that APAC would get 4.74 'before the end of September' and we see how well that went. Really sick of waiting months for updates that ROW gets.
Clearly it's going to be even slower, since Garmin has decided to work on an update to 5.10 (see new 5.52 beta now out) instead of working on getting APAC models updated.
