stryd pod and hrm

I just received my replacement device from garmin , about a week ago, and its been holding up due to past bluetooth issues with the iPhone , and now its fine. I have a new problem i think . Yesterday I had my stryd pod and hrm (red) paired together with the watch , and I had no dropouts during my run. Last night I updated the new bluetooth update to 3.00 , and i just did my 4 mile run. Both of the devices dropped out with 10 mins . Any tips or ways i can go about solving this issue ?

    What software version are you running? v4.2?

    Yes I am . I firgured I didn’t need to do beta , because they just released a new update for bluetooth only .

    Should I update to the latest beta or no ? Or should I go on a run tomorrow , and see if it continues ?
  • I would update to the Beta. I had a Wahoo HRM, Stryd and bluetooth headset attached with no problem other than some music cutout in the first 1/2 mile of my run. I think that may be because my phone was in the car with a connection to the headset as well. So I think the Beta is good and have seen no problems for bike/run with several accessories.

    Did a run on the new beta ,and both stryd and hrm , both disconnected again.

  • RMA maybe. Haven't had those issues with my stryd and HRM attached. Sorry. That has to be frustrating.
  • In your Garmin Connect Mobile app, did you enter the ANT+ ID of your Stryd into the configuration of your Stryd Power data field?

    This is supposed to make the connection between the watch and the Stryd more persistent. For me, it created a more stable connection on my F3. On my F5X+ I made this setting from the very beginning, so I don't know if it would have worked without. I only know that my Stryd works without any problems on the F5X+.

    Edit: It just dawned on me that you and I have the same conversation in the Stryd forum. But I actually don't think you have ever commented on the topic of the ANT+ ID configuration.

    Thanks Allan , I just updated that info on Garmin watch , and hope to see improvement on my workout today on the track .

    Yes I remember the convo we had , but I never commented on that particular thread . I know the Stryd is extremely accurate !! It’s just getting it to stay connected to my watch . But I will give you a update on how my run ended up going .

    Thats insane , because I just received this a replacement from garmin , not even a week ago, due to bluetooth connection with my iPhone and now thats not the problem now . I will try what Allan recommended to me. I don't think someone shouldn't have to have no issues buy paying 900 dollars for a device. But thats my 2 cents .
