Hi, I have bought this new Fenix 5 plus. When I paired my Edge 820 with my Quarq power metter, I just added power sensor and it shows me also cadence on display (cadence is in power meter). When I paired my Fenix 5 plus with power meter, just power i shown and cadence is 0. Can somebody help me how to solve it?
Thanks
  • Which firmware is on your Fenix? For me downgrading to <= 3.21 was the fix. With the „latest” official 4.2 i had the same problem. Currently my bike is unavailable to try later Beta Codes

I have the latest one 4.2. So maybe there is some bug :/
  • my fenix 5 (not plus) works fine with the quarq power meter. sounds like a bug in your current firmware.
i would give the current beta a try, because they usually do not work worse than the "stable" firmwares. if the problem still exists, report it to the beta team (although i think garmin gives a f**** about reported bugs - no matter how old and/or big they are).

I am facing the same problem when pairing my F5s+ to my Quarq powermeter via BLE

Problem solved. You cannot use Bluetooth but the Ant+. Bluetooth apparently cannot use both sensors at once. When I am searching for new sensors, quarq is two times there. One time it is called Quarq and then number. This one is Bluetooth version. So don’t use it. Use another one which is simply called Power meter and the number.
  • unfortunately my bike only transmits via bluetooth (no ANT+) My powerermeter was/is able to submit power & cadence data parallel when connected via Bluetooth as "power sensor" to my Garmin forerunner 935 (sold now) and Fenix5x+ (till 3.21 firmware). Both were able to receive power+cadence then cadence data stopped with firmware >3.21. Unfortunately I can not try the latest Beta 4.65 or Bluetooth 3.0 firmware because my bike is unavailable right now. Good for you that you found a workaround. For me as workaround I tried adding an additional cadence ANT+ sensor but this does not work, because cadence data is expected to be received from the power sensor channel if a pwoermeter is connected :(
  • Finally my cadene problem is solved. I get a replacement bike with different power meter (with ANT+), unfortunatly shortly after this news my Fenix stopped satelite reception. No GPS any more.
