Will a fenix 5S Plus last an entire full IM?

I'm on the fence re: fenix 5S plus and FR935. Main use is to track data as I train for a full IM. I'm in love w/ the look of the 5S Plus, with music and pay (I know, I know, I don't really need it) also love the form factor. Regardless the most important thing for me is, battery life, so will it realistically last an entire full IM or should I stick w/ FR935?
  • 2 - There probably is no way to turn on the OHR when I am mid-activity, right? This would be a fallback just in case the HRM-TRI dies.

Just leave the OHR on auto. It will turn off automatically once the HRM-Tri connects, and will turn on automatically in case the connection to HRM-Tri is lost.

Ah, of course - even the 735XT has the "Auto" setting, so that should save a few mAh. Still, leaning towards a f5plus or waiting for a 935plus, but let's see: I reset the 735XT to factory defaults and will do a few rounds on the track to figure out whether this resolved the OHR issues.

Garmin Fenix 5S and 5S Plus will not last you a full Ironman... unless your name is Daniela Ryf. Slight smile
