Problems Reconnecting Earphones

I have recently switched from Jaybrid Run Free to Jabra Elite Active 65t. I am finding that the Jabras will not reconnect to my 5 Plus. Each time I start a new session I have to connect them as "new" headphones. I didn't seem to have this problem with the Jaybirds, but I'm not sure whether it's the change in earphones or something about the latest beta (I'm on 4.65). Anyone els having the problem?

I had the same issue. Check your connected sensors in settings. For some reason, I notices there were two connected sensors for the Jabra 65t active headphone, one for headphone and the other was connected as a power meter. After deleting the one showing as power meter, I no longer have the connection issue. My Jabra is correctly paired to two devices iPhone and the fenix 5 plus. Also, I noticed if you have it paired to two devices when I listen to music on the fenix and if my iPhone is not set to vibrate only, the iPhone will steal the connection from the fenix everytime a sound is played on the iPhone. Hope that helps.

Thx, my Jabra 65t active was connected as both headphone and foot unit. Removed foot unit connection and it seems working a lot better but more tests needed.
  • I have also issues re-connecting my JBL Reflect Mini headphones, especially if they're already conncected to my phone, and/or have been used with my phone since last time they were connected to the watch. Might be an issue in the head phones of course by not letting the watch "hijack" the conncection.
My workaround is to disable BT on my phone and reboot the headset, then they usually conncets to the watch after a few tries. Not a big issue, but annoying none the less.

I also have a HRM-Run and a Stryd in my setup and once everything is up and running I find the connection(s) rock solid, and so far I've not experienced any of the other issues I've seen others report. (sensor dropouts, audio dropouts, poor playback quality etc.) One strange thing I've noticed though is that once I open Spotify on the watch, both HRM-Run and Stryd connects if available - even if no acitivity apps are running.
