Garmin Explore

In following the official Garmin channel on YouTube, these 2 videos have just popped up in my subscription feed. The app is shown working with the Fenix 5 Plus series too, but I can’t find the app in the Apple App Store yet though. Exciting stuff non the less.

Hi! I'm on the 1.4 version of Explore (Android) and on the last official version of the Garmin Fenix 5 + firmware and my Fenix 5 + doesn't appear on the explore unlike, my Forerunner 935 that appears in the list of paired devices. Strange is that the Fenix 5 + also doesn't show up in the list of unsupported devices.
Any help?

Good afternoon all.
Could someone please kindly explain to me the difference between planning:
i) a course in Garmin Connect ;
ii) a trail/route in Garmin Explore and
iii) a course/trail/route(?) in Garmin Basecamp?
They all seem to do the same thing so I'm currently not sure i fully understand the difference between each of them.
Is one system better at doing it than the other, or does it depend on whether you are looking to road run/cycle (for which GC is fine) or hike on trail paths (where GE is better)?
Are the three apps meant to sit alongside each other, or is GE meant to replace the course/trail/route creation options in GC and Basecamp?
Does it depend which (physical) Garmin product you plan to use? (I'm using a Fenix 5S Plus - is one of them more suited to that?)
And is there perhaps a link to an 'instruction manual' for each of them, fully explaining what they all do and which is best for which planned activity?
