Garmin Explore

In following the official Garmin channel on YouTube, these 2 videos have just popped up in my subscription feed. The app is shown working with the Fenix 5 Plus series too, but I can’t find the app in the Apple App Store yet though. Exciting stuff non the less.

I'm trying web version of garmin explore (inreach.garmin.com), and i noticed that if i create a track on web pltform it doesn't add DEM data, altitude remains always to 0, if i use Garmin explore for Android it correctly shows also DEM data. Anyone else experienced this?

The inability to switch between contours in feet to metres is another limitation of the website, but not a limitation on the app.

Just downloaded Explore on my iPhone.
I'm still on Firmware 5.10 and it "seems" to be working.... now I just gotta figure what I'm doing with it and how it actually works.

Seems also Beta firmware with Explore support was released for non-Plus Fenix 5. So, as I'm non-beta user, I hope we are no more just 2-3 weeks away from stable firmware release. Also - looking forward to reports from happy IOS users :-) How is the app?

IT'S BACK - and it works WITHOUT ANY UPDATES - like a few weeks ago unter App-Version 1.0

Explore-App-Version 1.2 (Android 8.0.0 Oreo, Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact)
fenix 5X plus - firmware 5.10 is connected and works fine (like it used to)
fenix 5X - mentioned as supported device -> I did not activate that watch because I'm going to sell it

So no BETA-RELEASE necessary!

Downloaded fhe app to see if my 935 was in the watch list and was. Not sure if it actually works but will test it out somewhere in GA next time I go out hiking

I can confirm - Fenix 5 Plus, Android 8.0, Explore 1.2 - it now seems to be working. Starting testing! :-)

Thanks Courtney. I resolved it by loading Garmin Connect on the iPad, pairing the 5S+ to that, then got it to pair with Explore.
