the 3 month trial could have been a US only thing. The email didn't contain a code, but said one would be offered to you via the app when setting it up.
I'm in the US and installed Deezer last week. I have not had the Freezeup issue described above and I did get the three month free trial. When you download the deezer app from the store you must follow the steps listed in the app store to activate the account and the free trial code will show up on the watch.

FYI, i signed up for Deezer and downloaded 6 hours of music for my first marathon. It worked beautifully. I only received 1 month free, but i am willing to pay for the service going forward, it is awesome to be able to put together a play list of all the current music and download it for my run so easily.:cool:
