I don't know if anyone told you, but I am pretty sure you *must* connect your watch to your computer using Connect Express in order to get the maps updated. I am on TopoActive US & Canada 2018.10
I too have TopoActive Europe East/West 2017.30 It's quite disappointing that we didn't have any update this year.
It's 2019 now and Express still shows 2017.30 as being "up to date". It's a shame, especially since the maps are based on OpenStreetMap data and creating an updated map shouldn't be much more than running a script on Garmin's side.

Totally agree. And when you ask someone from Garmin, nobody knows when the update will come or they just don't answer.
