Does anyone here had ALTIMETER issues with 5x Plus?

Was wondering if any 5X Plus owners had ALTIMETER issues with their watch?!
I've sent my watch in Assistance for this issue, but they sent it back to me (late and after a couple of calls and emails) with the same issues, saying that they didn't find anything wrong with it.
After just 20 minutes after I got my watch back, the ALTIMETER was showing me -19995 meters of altitude and after other 10 minutes it was showing -59 meters of altitude, until I calibrated it. I cannot understand for the life of me, how it is only showing this values when it is in my possession and not to the guys in Assistance??? It is beginning to be ridiculous, after paying 849€ for a watch and other 150€ for a stainless steel band for it, to be treated like this by Garmin Assistance Italy, making you wait more then 20 days for you to get your watch back, only after 3 calls and a couple of emails and on the repairing statement, it doesn't appear they did anything that you didn't already did. I've told them that I already did 3 FACTORY RESETS and the problem was still there,n they did ONE Factory Reset and sent me back my watch with the same issues. If someone from Garmin reads this, please contact me, because it is futile for me to contact GARMIN ITALY again, just for them to tell me to send it in Assistance and after 20+ days to send it back to me with the same issues.
I used it for 2 weeks, had it in assistance for 20+ days, NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!
  • For a number of the latest watch models, there have been several reports in these forums of the altimeter showing multiple positive or negative kilometers. I have seen this for the Fenix 3 HR, the 935 and the Fenix 5. I have not seen it for the older Fenix 3, and I did not see it on my own copy of that watch.

Your report is the first I see for the F5+. I had hoped that the lack of user reports meant that they had solved the problem by now, so I went and bought a F5X+. So far I have no problems, but I haven't done anything to provoke them either.

What seems to trigger the problem is static electricity from your clothes which disturbs the ambient pressure sensor in the watch. Several users have reported that they can use static electricity provoke the altimeter problem. Soaking the watch in mild soap water seems to make the problem go away for a few days.

Tried the water+soap but no luck. Wash and clean the watch every single day, not even a fingerprint on the display, but doesn't seem to help.
It's frustrating to pay a s**t load of money for an object that doesn't work as advertised and on top of all, to not even be able to use it because you have to send it in assistance.
