  • So, given that you got this out of a Garmin rep and your new watch (other thread) is having this same issue, which they claimed on my return is not universal, do we have any more information as to a future resolution to this problem?
  • Not that i am aware of. Clearly they cant change the hardware of devices out in the field, a bluetooth firmware chip update is high risk and could possibly brick a watch if fails (not the same as a beta bluetooth update), they cant update the customers phone hardware or software bar connect, BUT IMHO what they could do is downgrade the garmin fenix 5 plus bluetooth from 5.0 to only work in 4.2 mode. Its a comprimise but as bluetooth 5.0 devices are backward compatible, that way they resolve the issue... maybe we should all take bets on the solution :)
  • HRM-RUN Running dynamics, issue resolved.:cool::cool::cool::cool:
  • whatever, now if the escalations team who told me they fixed this this morning pay for my wasted money on replacement HRM-RUN ill be happy.
