Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

4.59 Change Log Notes: Last week, we released new language text files that will be needed before seeing the new music player tutorial. Please use Garmin Express to download the latest text files before proceeding with the 4.59 beta.
• Music Player 2.0: Updates to a faster, one-touch control interface and moves some controls to the option menu.
• Music App Syncing: Syncing music downloads can now be done without plugging in to a charger.
• Music App Auto-Syncing: Every time the watch is placed on a charger, music will be automatically refreshed.
• Music Settings: Adds Menu > Settings > Music.
• Made several bug fixes and code improvements with CIQ SDK 3.0.
• Made improvements to the user experience when communicating with an inReach device.
• Fixed an issue where the abnormal heart rate alert would auto-dismiss after 30 seconds.
• Fixed an intermittent issue where the device could crash at the end of certain workouts.
• Fixed an issue where heart rate data for pool swim activities was graphed incorrectly within Garmin Connect.
• Fixed an issue where the user was able to pick large invalid values during treadmill calibration.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

Please send all bug reports to "][email protected], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 Plus series you have in the subject line.
• Pool swim activity lengths count is still buggy!
• What about the flashlight bug via hotkeys?

Don't take me wrong, but....is this so relevant??

Maybe i am wrong, but would be nice to see improvements in sport-core features, thus: GPS (the multipath thing when running between buildings, i didn't have this with the V800), altimeter (i'm getting 42m running on the beach), sleep tracking (my recent experiences are awfull, every time i sync i get more hours, now i have 18 hours of sleeping, it's adding hours of sleep when i am awake and working...), OWS, battery life (maybe via software optimizations?), then, and only then, we shoul get into little/polishing details, IMHO.

BTW the new music controls are clever and nice movement :)

Of course not. But this hasn’t been fixed since 4 fw updates and should be easy to fix for Garmin;)
And btw: everyone has different preferences..

Thanks for confirmation before I downloaded!
I tested 4.2 today in the living room, waving my arms like a madman doing fresh air breaststroke simulation.
Each length took about 15 seconds to register.
At 15 lengths the count jumped jumped to 31!
i pressed stop and the watch showed 15 again!
So it's not recording wrong, but is displaying wrong.
Going to roll back to 3.1 and test again.

Exactly!
What i take away with Garmin is, that they sell overpriced banana products and even worse... keep releasing updates (trying to) fixing unessential bugs giving their customers the feeling of beeing idiots that are willing to wait for ever for a product working as advertised/sold.
If you compare their reactions so far to other cases with other companies, it either means that they are not capable of writing clean, working software or even worse... they will never be able to fix/reduce the problems because that would need a hardware redesign (e.g. bad antenna design will NEVER be correctable in software).

If i don't see any improvements in the next 1-2 beta releases, i'm another deeply disappointed customer fed up by Garmin!
• Indeed, it would bei appreciated If Garmin would focus on making the sport features finally working. Virtual Racer/Partner still not working. How can one optimize preparation for half-/Marathon without that feauture?

Do you report this bug to beta team also for this software release?
