Hello, does anyone know if I should be able to see contour lines on the maps in Scotland? I have checked settings and have turned on “draw contour lines” and I have the TopoActive Europe West maps turned on.
Do the Topoactive maps have contour lines, I thought they just had height data with shading? I put the Talkytoaster free UK maps on (https://talkytoaster.me.uk/maps/british-isles-ireland/) and they have contours (I think 10m) as well as more detail than the maps that come with the watch.
I don't see any effect of the 'show contour lines' setting. I looked through the TopoActive Europe West and East maps and I don't see any contour lines when it is set to on or off. I have a Garmin Topo Poland map .. and it shows contour lines always... that setting doesn't seem to do anything (maybe you need some 'special' maps)
I downloaded a topo map from http://garmin.opentopomap.org/(I don't see Scotland there).. and it has a seperate contour line transparent map, but you have to turn it on or off in map settings.
