Bluetooth disconnecting - and staying disconnected

So, after owning the watch for two weeks and it performing fine in all regards (save for the fact I initially had one with a faulty battery), today the bluetooth connection to the phone went down. And seems to stay down. The only way I can get it to re-connect is to re-pair the watch with the phone, which is pretty annoying. Restarts of both devices/cycling BT on the phone doesn't work.

Has anyone seen similar?

I'm on the previous firmware - i.e. haven't upgraded to the one just released yet, but on the basis I haven't made any changes to the watch or phone today and it was ambling along quite nicely until today, I can't see why I should blame the 'old' firmware at the moment...
