HRM strap vs Running Pod Inconsistent

Hey all. I know this isn’t really a Fenix issue, but there really isn’t an accessory forum and I’m training with a Fenix 5 Plus.

So here’s my question/observation. Anyone notice the left right balance on running is nearly always close to 50/50 with the pod, but can vary significantly with strap? Has me wondering which is correct. Today I did a hard training run so I used the strap. My L/R balance was 48/52 which is pretty bad - however I actually felt really good and well rested after a couple easy days in prep for this run and my stride felt fine. In the last two weeks I don’t think I’ve seen anything worse than 49.6/50.4 with the pod.

Has me wondering which is more accurate. Before getting the pod I used the strap daily and did see a lot more day to day variability than I see with the Pod.

A funny side note is I tried clipping the pod to my water belt for a recent run, and the vertical oscillation changed directly in response to how much water was in my 700 mL bottle based on when I drank and refilled it on the run, so I guess it’s best clipped to your back (but in my case my water belt pushes into it).
