I know that this a known issue and I would like to confirm that on 3.56b, still exists. Today after trail running for 1:22h I noticed that the F5+Ti used about 10,6% of battery. I had: music on with bt headset, phone connected with many notifications, wrist hr on, map on and live segments. So far so good, the consumption is logical. After saving my activity, the battery drained 6% in 1,5h and continued to drain. After 7h the battery was 15% down. Something is still running in a loop after saving an activity. I have reported this to beta team by email.
Did you ever receive a response from Garmin about your post-activity battery drain issue?
By the way, your battery drain during your run seems great. Yesterday I had an 11 mile, approximately 90 minute run without music that consumed about 12% battery. I was using a Stryd and GLONASS, so that may account for part of the drain. But post-activity I lost about 10% in the 4 hours following the run.
Battery consumption through activity is really great. I did a trail run training for 6:41h with GPS+Glonass, wrist hr on, maps and navigation on, climb pro on. The consumption was 34,8% that seems like 5,15% per hour.
Yesterday’s battery drain update after installing beta 4.64.
During a 12 mile (1 hour, 34 minutes) using GPS + GLONASS, a Stryd and active bluetooth phone connection (but no music from the watch) used 11.9% battery (which seemed ok, but not great).
In the hour immediate after the run, drained 2.75% (high).
Monitored the drain for the next several hours making sure not to use the watch for anything else (except the bluetooth connection to the phone). Hour 2 - 1.26% Hour 3 - 0.84% Hour 4 - 0.69% Hour 5 - 0.26% Hour 6 - 0.70%
…then I switched back to the 935.
The drain seems better than before the firmware upgrade, but it still seems too high in the hours immediately following a run.
